We’ve been working on this project for a long time and are very excited that it is now finally released by Klanggalerie!

We always intended a CD release of the track Hardly Gurning As The World Is Turning which was side 4 of the vinyl edition of Gurdy Hurding – that piece was part remix, part adapted outtakes and part new material and acted as a sort of coda to the original album.

We then wanted to extend the concept and invited some of our friends to remix/re-imagine Gurdy tracks to see what might happen. To be fair, it was kick-started by Andrew Liles who asked to remix a couple of tracks just for fun, they worked well.  So over a period of time we reached out and received remixes of virtually the complete album – it has given the music a whole new energy and life.

The tracks are presented in the same order as the album with contributions from (in alphabetical order):

NOLAN COOK, CULT WITH NO NAME, ERIC DREW FELDMAN, ANDREW LILES, PITA, ERIC RANDOM, RENALDO & THE LOAF, THE RESIDENTS, SECTION 25, TRANSGLOBAL UNDERGROUND, AXON WELTER and ALEX WROTEN.

It also has another wonderful cover design by Poxodd.

Hopefully when you hear it you won’t gurn but will smile broadly!
