Outside of his work in Renaldo & The Loaf, David Janssen refrained from producing any solo musical material until the mid-2000s, when he started creating work under the moniker The Darkening Scale.
In addition, Dave collaborates with Sylvie Walder under the name The Tapeworm Vessel.
